Southern Nevada Battle Born Beard and Mustache Contest

The Bearded Lady Saloon, Sin City Beard Coalition, and Honest Amish Beard Products present a 16-category competition with trophies awarded.

Silver State Chili Cuisine and Nevada State Chili Cuisine

Silver State Chili Cook-off Saturday and Nevada State Chili Cook-off Sunday. Talented chili cooks come to our community to fight for the title of best chili in Nevada. Sample an impressive array of chili vendors. This family event has so much to offer including a remote car race, games and more! Proceeds from the tickets will benefit our local school district. Snowbirds sell cool stuff

Large community garage sale outside the front door of the Preferred RV Resort, Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Even if you’re not a regular garage sale shopper, this annual event could bring you some exciting bargains. Charity Pet Bingo Event Hosted by Las Vegas Drag Queens

You read correctly. An afternoon of laughs, adult humor, bingo and raffles, all to benefit Tails of Nye County, Never Forgotten Animal Society and Furgotten Friends. $30 tickets can be purchased in advance by calling Denise at 775-253-1234, or can be purchased at the door. Bunco at Notre Dame

The Daughters of Mary will host BUNCO, at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, 781 E. Gamebird Road, in the Parish Hall on Sunday, March 27.

Doors open at 1:30 p.m. and games start at 2 p.m. Refreshments will be available.


Pahrump Music Festival

This four-day festival takes place in Petrack Park from March 31 to April 3 and combines live music performances, a beer and wine garden, car shows, horseshoe tournaments, art exhibits and of course a carnival. There are over 140 vendors, 20 of which offer food, two stages to enjoy a variety of music, with special headlining performances from fan favorites like Zowie Bowie, Vegas McGraw and Count’s 77.

There will also be a group battle competition on the concert stage. Tickets for Battle of the Bands start at $10 and featured performances are $50 each or all performances for $100. The South Stage will host a variety of shows at no charge.

Shriner Club Car Show

As part of the Pahrump Music Festival, the Wee Pah Shriner Club and the Flivver Car Unit will host a car show in the Bob Ruud Community Center parking lot at Basin Avenue and Highway 160 on Saturday, April 2, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

white elephant moose sale

The Moose Women will be holding their annual white elephant sale at their lodge, 1100 East Second St., Friday, April 1 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, April 2 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Clothing, kitchen utensils, books, decorations, furniture, trinkets and more will be available. Additionally, burgers and hot dogs will be available for purchase.


Pahrump Gunfighters Show

The Pahrump Gunfighters help keep the Old West alive and will perform at Dusty Flats, 100 W. Stagecoach Road (next to Stagestop Casino) on April 3 at 2 p.m.

Admission is free for the show, featuring western skits and gunfights.

Cocktails & Canvas will host a Sunny Spring Paint and Sip at the Pahrump Senior Center.

NCSO participates in the Baker Relay Race in Las Vegas

Fundraising for the spaghetti dinner

A spaghetti dinner fundraiser for the Pahrump Wild West Extravaganza will be held Sunday, April 10, 4-6:30 p.m., at the Bob Ruud Community Center, 150 S. Highway 160.

Tickets are $10 each. The meal includes spaghetti with meatballs, salad, garlic bread, dessert. Beverage (coffee, iced tea, water, soda) sold separately.

Additionally, Rifle Raffle tickets and a 50/50 draw will be available.
