Man assaulted by neighbors for walking past their house every day on a morning walk

Ahmedabad: A bizarre incident has been reported since Gujarat‘s Ahmedabad where a 40-year-old man was assaulted by his neighbors on Saturday. According to reports, the incident happened in Vejalpur when the accused was walking past his neighbour’s house on a daily basis, which they objected to.

Following the assault, the victim, identified as Vali Meman, filed a complaint with the police against Annu and her son-in-law. He even accused them of damaging his mobile phone during the attack.

Recounting his fate, the victim told the cops that he was left alone in his apartment at Saiyadvilla in Vejalpur as his wife and children were living elsewhere. He went on to say that when he went for a morning walk on Saturday around 4 a.m., Annu and his son-in-law abused him and asked him why he was passing by her house daily, according to the report published by the India time.

Moreover, they warned him against passing by their house and abused him. “Mazhar was about to hit me in the head when I blocked with my hand. I tried to call the police but he damaged my phone. Later I approached the police to file a complaint against both”, a report published by YOU quoted Meman as saying.

Following the upsetting incident, a case was registered against the duo under IPC 323 (punishment for willfully causing injury), 427 (mischief causing damage in the amount of Rs 50) and 114 (initiator present when the offense is committed).
