North Coast Treehouse Accommodation sells out on launch weekend

A set of three tree-top forest lodges, located in the Binevenagh Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the North Coast, were put online for booking and sold out on the first weekend.

Reservations were open for vacation stays at “Burrenmore Nest” on Friday October 1 at 1pm, but – on Monday – all dates were sold out during the first reservation period, until December 7, 2021.

Located in the Downhill Forest Estate, each lodge stands on stilts, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering panoramic forest views. Designed as a peaceful retreat, each lodge also offers guests a private outdoor hot tub, private balcony, use of a shared fireplace, barbecue, and a host of premium features.

Burrenmore Nest Lodges represent some of the best in design, build and technology in Northern Ireland. The style of construction is unique to the UK and Ireland, taking inspiration from Scandinavia, but designed specifically for the site by local architect Maddie Stewart and gardening experts, Escapod Ltd, based in Magherafelt. All nights were sold directly through the Northern Ireland-based online booking platform ‘GlampManager’.

“In design, construction, finish, interior design and even the online booking platform, these lodges represent top quality Northern Irish talent coming together to provide a world class place to stay,” said Hal Sutton, site manager at Burrenmore Nest.

Hal commented: “We hope that these new lodges will stimulate the economy of Binevenagh and support tourist interest in our area. Whether it is the forest, the sea, the expansive beaches or the mountain of Binevenagh, there is so much for our guests to enjoy in the area – or maybe they can just relax in the tub, or read a book in the lodge, with nothing but the forest around them. “

Local Councilor Michelle Knight-McQuillan said: “The Binevenagh tourism community and council are working to develop the tourism economy and help people realize the beauty of Binevenagh AONB. These new forest lodges offer a fantastic new asset to the region and bring new visitors to come and enjoy all we have to offer here. “

Reflecting on the launch weekend, Hal said “We couldn’t believe the demand for stays with us when we put the booking link on our website. After all the hardships of COVID-19 and the lockdown, I think that people really want to get away in nature and get away in the forest. People can rest and recover with us and they can be close to nature, but they don’t have to sacrifice comfort and luxury finishes. “

Burrenmore Nest has now published booking dates until the end of September 2022. For more information visit or follow Instagram Where Facebook.
